Past Times Epsom played against Sutton 'B' on Thursday 30th July 2026. They lost at home & away & the match 23 - 38. They were 13 - 21 down after 9 ends across the 2 rinks & lost by 15 shots. Details: Home: Paul Maskell John Wellard Bob Blaker Norman Mann lost 12 - 17 Epsom were 8 - 10 down after 9 ends & 12 - 13 behind on end 15. They lost by 5 shots. Away: Roger Jackson Mick Cooper Les Owen David Fearn lost 11 - 21 Epsom were 5 - 11 down after 9 ends & 9 - 17 behind on end 15. They lost by 10 shots. Final Score: Epsom 23 Sutton 'B' 38 John Wellard played his first game in this Competition. Did you know Epsom first played in this Competition in 1966 (it was called The Times Herald Competition). Epsom won the trophy in 1975 35 - 34 beating Mellows Park. In 2002 the Competition was renamed The Past Times & Epsom lost in the final to Sutton 28 - 45 in 2010 (John Hart, Les Owen & Martin Harbottle played in this final) Since 1966 Epsom have played 157 matches, won 76 & lost 81. In the early years Epsom used to put out 2 teams in this Competition & in 2010 Epsom 'A' played Epsom 'B' (Epsom 'A' won). Epsom have played Sutton 11 times, won 5 & lost 7.

Ladies Friendly Epsom played against Epsom Park on Thursday 30th July 2026. They won on both rinks & the match 32 - 18. They only played 12 ends. Details: Rink 1 Sue Skinner Sue Carter Mary Green won14 - 11 The scores were level 7 - 7 after 6 ends & Epsom won by 3 shots. Rink 2 Elaine Coe Liz Hind Frances Suttonwood won 18 - 7 Epsom led 9 - 4 after 6 ends & won by 11 shots. Final Score: Epsom 32 Epsom Park 18

East Surrey Mid Week Triples League Epsom played away against Croydon MO'S on Wednesday 29th July 2026. They won on 1 rink, lost on 2 rinks & lost overall 28 - 38 (2 - 8). (It was decided to play over 14 ends because of the hot weather), Details: Rink 3 David Tinney Fred Read Norman Mann lost 7 - 14 Epsom were 4 - 7 down after 7 ends & lost by 7 shots. Rink 4 Paul Maskell Mick Cooper Roger Jackson lost 7 - 15 Epsom were 2 - 10 down after 7 ends & lost by 8 shots. Rink 5 Ray Evans John Wellard Keith Roberts won 14 - 9 Epsom led 14 - 4 after 10 ends, but lost the last 4 ends & won by 5 shots. Sutton & District Bowling Association - Yonwin Cup Epsom played away against Southey on Tuesday 28th July 2026. They drew on 1 rink, lost on 2 rinks & lost overall 35 - 55. Details: Rink 4 James Henderson John Hart Bob Blaker Norman Mann drew 14 - 14 Epsom led 10 - 9 after 9 ends & 14 - 12 on end 15. They lost the last 2 ends played to tie the rink. Rink 5 Roger Jackson Phil Sims John Warren Martin Harbottle lost 11 - 22 Epsom were 1 - 18 down after 7 ends, but won the next 5 ends to be 8 - 18 behind. They lost by 11 shots. Rink 6 Keith Roberts Gary Wisdom Les Owen David Fearn lost 10 - 19 Epsom were 1 - 13 down after 9 ends & 7 - 16 behind on end 15. They lost by 9 shots. Final Score: Epsom 35 Supreme 55 Gary & James played in their very first Yonwin Cup match. Gary becomes the 126th member of Epsom Bowling Club to play in this Competition & James the 127th.

Chrystie League Epsom played at home against Brockham on Monday 27th July 2026. They won on 1 rink, lost on 1 rink & lost overall 31 - 33 (1 - 3). After 9 ends across both rinks Epsom led 17 - 14, but the scores were level 27 - 27 on ends 15. Epsom lost by 2 shots. After 9 ends across the 3 rinks Epsom led 25 - 21, but were 5 shots behind (37 - 42) on ends 15. They lost by 10 shots. Rink 5 Phil Sims John Hart Bob Blaker Norman Mann won 18 - 12 Epsom led 10 - 6 after 9 ends & 15 - 11 on end 15. They won by 6 shots. Final Score: Epsom 42 Ashtead 52 Epsom 2 points Ashtead 8 points Did you know This league started in 1987. On 22nd April 1986 7 clubs became founder members of the league. These were Old Coulsdon, Caterham, Chipstead, Godstone, Redhill, Shirley Park & Wallington. In September that same year Bletchingley & Epsom joined. Ashtead joined in 1990. This was a very special day for us at Epsom as this was our 500th match & it was really good that we played our friends from Ashtead. Epsom have won 304 Games, lost 187 & drawn 11. Epsom have played Ashtead 35 times, won 25, lost 8 & drawn 2.

Vilamoura Mixed League Epsom played against Purley Bury on Friday 24th July 2026. They lost at home and away losing 28 - 36 (0 - 6) After 9 ends across the 2 rinks Epsom were 13 - 20 down & 8 shots behind (24 - 32) on ends 15. They lost by 8 shots. Details: Home: Don Indran Nick Rowan Mary Green lost 12 - 18 Epsom were 6 - 9 down after 9 ends & 9 - 17 behind on end 15. They lost by 6 shots. Away: Terry Mears Liz Hind Phil Sims lost 16 - 18 Epsom were 7 - 11 down after 9 ends, but drew level 15 - 15 on end 15. They lost 2 of the lst 3 ends to lose by 2 shots. After 9 ends across the 3 rinks Epsom were 19 - 28 down * 6 shots behind (34 - 40) on ends 15. They lost by 2 shots. East Surrey League - Mid Week Triples Epsom played their very first game in this league at home on Wednesday 8th July 2026 against Purley Bury. They won on 2 rinks, lost on 1 rink & won overall 43 - 41 (8 - 2). The game was played over 14 ends because of the heat. Epsom were 17 - 26 down after 7 ends across the 3 rinks, but came back well to win by 2 shots. This was the first time that Epsom have beaten Purley Bury in this league. Details: Rink 1 David Tinney Frank Thompson David Fearn won 17 - 11 Epsom won 10 of the 14 ends played. They led 7 - 6 after 7 ends & won by 6 shots. Rink 2 Richard Senior Kevin Phillips Roger Jackson lost 7 - 21 Epsom were 2 - 14 down after 7 ends & lost by 14 shots. Rink 3 Don Indran Nick Rowan Mick Cooper won 19 - 9 Epsom led 8 - 6 after 7 ends & won 6 of the last 7 ends to win by 10 shots. Ladies Smiths League Epsom played Merton Park on Tuesday 7th July 2026. They won at home, drew away & won overall 31 - 27 (4 - 1). Because of the heat this game was played over 15 ends. After 8 ends across both rinks Epsom were 15 - 16 down, but went on to win by 4 shots. Details: Home: Sandy Cooper Frances Suttonwood Annette Jordan won 14 - 10 Epsom led 6 - 4 after 8 ends, but were 9 - 10 behind on end 11. They won the last 4 ends to win by 4 shots. Away: Penny Payne Liz Hind Trish Southgate drew 17 - 17 Epsom were 9 - 12 down after 8 ends, but led 17 - 15 with 1 end to play. They dropped 2 shots on the final end to tie the rink.
