The
Times Herald
Competition was entered by Epsom between 1966 - 2001.
This Competition was ended in 2001 and replaced
with the Past Times Competition in 2002.
The Competition is played as follows:-
Each Club enters two rinks and one rink plays at
home the other away. The winner is decided on the total shots scored.
The Challengers (i.e. the home team) will play an
extra end should the scores be level at the end of normal play to decide the winner.
Epsom Bowling Club won the Times Herald in 1975 and
reached the Final of the Past Times Competition in 2010.
Epsom have lost in the Final of the Times
Herald on three
occasions (1980, 1990 & 1997). |
